On Saturday, September 16, 2023, we welcome everyone to join us at the Nebraska History Museum for Free Admission Day in celebration of the second annual Welcoming Week in Lincoln, Nebraska.
At no cost, enjoy activities for the whole family and explore over 12,000 years of history through fascinating exhibitions featuring artifacts and amazing stories from our rich past. Current exhibits include: the Smithsonian traveling exhibition “Righting a Wrong: Japanese Americans and World War II,” “Preserving a Legacy: Japanese in Nebraska,” “Piecing Together the Past,” and “Nebraska Unwrapped: Selections from the Collections.”

Welcoming Week is a worldwide annual celebration that invites communities of all sizes to celebrate inclusive societies and deepen their commitment to creating places that are welcoming to everyone. In partnership with the New Americans Task Force, Lincoln’s Welcoming Week 2023 will be September 8th through 17th and beyond to share food, music, stories, and traditions recognizing the value that diversity offers to all who call Lincoln home.
