Nebraska Newspaper Indexes is an alphabetical listing by town of newspaper indexes to Nebraska newspapers across the state. These indexes are in various paper formats (in most cases) with some indexing that have been converted digitally. The majority of these indexes are housed in the Nebraska History Library (Library/Archives Reference Room) located at History Nebraska and are available onsite (1500 R Street, Lincoln). Included in this listing are indexes that may reside in other libraries in Nebraska. THIS IS NOT A LISTING OF DIGITIZED NEWSPAPERS. There are cases that indexing is listed for some scattered or groups of newspapers that may be digitized as of this date (or in the future), but unless it is indexing for a large number of years, we have not removed them from this database. The value of these indexes are for newspapers that currently have not been digitized. This listing will be updated on a regular basis.
