BACKGROUND NOTE

The Presbyterian Church of Thayer, Nebraska, was organized in November of 1902, under the direction of Rev. T.L. Sexton. Thayer is located in northern York County, Nebraska.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection consists of the records of the Presbyterian Church at Thayer, Nebraska, arranged in two series: 1) Registers, 1902-1953; and 2) Session Minutes, 1917-1957. The collection relates to the history and activities of the Church, 1902-1957. One volume of the church registers, 1917-1953, and the session minutes, 1917-1957, were loaned for microfilming by the Presbytery of Nebraska City in 1961. One volume, Church register, 1902-1916, was received from an undetermined source and is shelved in the archives.
