Collections Division Internship Opportunities:

The Collections Division is a treasure-trove of primary source material relating to every aspect of Nebraska's history. The Collections Division provides a one-of-a-kind "laboratory" for the practice of the historian's, the archivist's, and museum specialist’s craft. By working with the collections, a student intern gains both practical experience in museum/archival work and insight into using primary source materials for research.

Internships may take place during any semester or interim session. All internships are approved by the intern's instructor and supervised by a senior Collections Division staff member. Although specific projects are created based on the current priorities and needs of the division, projects are designed also to match the interests and career path of the intern.

Generally, interns receive class credit only -- i.e. stipends are not paid. Grades for the project are given by the staff member overseeing the project; final class grades are determined by the instructor.

At this time we do not have internships available.
