SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection contains publicity materials, press releases, newspaper clippings, and programs relating to the play, "Footprints in Blood," by Christopher Sergel, which was produced by the Omaha Indian Center in 1979. The performance marked the 100th anniversary of the 1879 civil rights trial of "Standing Bear vs. Crook." The collection includes various articles about the Standing Bear trial, was well as micellaneous related items such as business cards, tickets for a buffalo feast, a proclamation for "Standing Bear year," and a program for a service of reconciliation between Indians and non-Indians.
