SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection consists of a 123 page letter written by Grace Copple as a Christmas present for her father. The letter provides a detailed description of an automobile trip taken by Grace, her husband Plenna, and several friends from Fullerton, Nebraska to the World's Fair in San Francisco, California in 1915. Much of the letter describes weather conditions, geography, and mechanical difficulties experienced throughout the trip. Picture postcards and photographs taken during the trip are pasted throughout the letter.
