SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of one volume containing the minutes of meetings of the Kearney County Land Association (Minden, Nebraska) dating from 1876-1883. Also included are the articles of incorporation and by-laws of the association. The purpose of the association was to buy, sell, deal in, and improve real estate in the county and the state. It was during this time that the town of Minden was established. The minutes include information on the naming of streets, setting aside lots for churches, etc. The names of officers and shareholders are included.
