DESCRIPTION
This collection mainly consists of letters and scrapbooks relating to Clyde and Lucile (Hile) Noyes. The majority of the correspondence dates from 1934-1937 and is between Clyde Noyes of Benkelman, Nebraska, and Lucile Hile of Franklin, Nebraska. Clyde and Lucile were married on November 1, 1936. Clyde served as the Dundy County Extension Agent from 1935-1938 and then moved to McCook, Nebraska to serve as the Red Willow County Extension Agent. Two wedding scrapbooks for Clyde and Lucile Noyes are included in the collection as well as an autograph book of Lucile’s from 1927. The wedding scrapbooks contain several photographs. Also included in the collection is a scrapbook (ca. 1961) compiled by Barbara Noyes (daughter of Clyde and Lucile Noyes) for a school project on the history of Nebraska.
