SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection consists of one folder containing various papers relating to John W. Prey and his wife, Frances Catherine (Lehmer) Prey.  The Preys were early settlers of Lancaster County, Nebraska.  Included in the collection are reminiscences, receipts, legal paperwork, certificates and various writings.  Also included are biographical/genealogical information about various members of the Prey family.  The bulk of the materials dates from the 1860s to the early 1900s.  The biographical and genealogical materials date from the 1960s to the early 2000s.

Note:  The UNL Archives & Special Collections holds the papers of Annie Prey Jorgensen, daughter of John and Frances Prey.
