Mad Science at the Museum

Join us for this FREE summer programming at the Nebraska History Museum to learn how history and science collide! Designed for families with children ages 7-10, Mad Science at the Museum allows participants to engage in activities including artifact explorations and hands-on scientific experimentation. One adult for every three children required.

Time Machine of Fun

Step into the Nebraska History Museum's Time Machine and travel back in time via historic games, toys, entertainment, and snacks to find out how Nebraska kids have been having fun for the past 200 years. This new, 90-minute workshop is available for groups of 10-30 children entering K-6th grade.

Kids' Curiosity Tours

Learn more about the experiences of the diverse people who’ve been living in Nebraska since the early 1800s. Led by the Nebraska History Museum’s Curiosity Guides, these 45-60 minute tours include both touchable objects and special “eyes-only” historic artifacts.

Tours can be scheduled to start between 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday for groups of children and adults ranging in size from 10 to 100 entering K-6th grades.
