2017 Celebration of Nebraska Books

When: 
Saturday, October 21, 2017 - 2:30pm to 6:30pm
Where: 
Nebraska History Museum

The celebration, free and open to the public, features presentations of the Nebraska Center for the Book's 2017 Nebraska Book Awards, Mildred Bennett Award, and Jane Geske Award. The 2017 One Book One Nebraska book selection, "Black Elk Speaks" by John G. Neihardt will be featured, with a presentation by Timothy G. Anderson. An Awards Reception honoring the winning authors, book signings, and an announcement of the 2018 One Book One Nebraska book choice will conclude the festivities. 



The celebration's purpose is to remind us all of the literary and intellectual traditions that enrich our lives and mold our world. 



The Nebraska Center for the Book Annual Meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m., just prior to the celebration.
