The Japanese American Citizens League [JACL] and Creighton Intercultural Center are working through the Day of Remembrance Committee to take folks down to Lincoln for the opening weekend of the Smithsonian Exhibit: Righting a Wrong: Japanese Americans & World War II. This exhibit is a traveling Smithsonian that will depict the aspects of Japanese Internment through art and historical photos. There will be a discussion, lunch, and transportation will be provided.
Anyone traveling from campus will leave for Lincoln at 10:00 AM, arrive by 11:00 AM, and will start with food and be in the museum by 12:30 PM with a return time to Creighton’s campus by 4:00 PM.
Transportation is provided only for Creighton students and faculty/staff. All others should meet at the Nebraska History Museum, 131 Centennial Mall North, Lincoln, NE.
