History Café-Celebrating Asian Cultural Heritage and History

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month with:

-A presentation on the history of Nebraska's Japanese immigrants by Vickie Sakurada Schaepler.

- A spring roll demonstration and conversation with Thuy Nguyen, a successful Vietnamese-American entrepreneur and founder of Pho Factory and Banwich Café.

- Untold Migrant Stories, an Asian Community & Cultural Center program serving refugee and immigrant youth, will explore the theme of "Living in the Moment" through the art of the one-minute video.

- A presentation about the Islamic holy month of Ramadan by Zanaib Al-Baaj from Good Neighbors Community Center.

Partners: Asian Community and Cultural Center, UNL Kawasaki Reading Room and Lincoln City Libraries
