A Spaced-Out Day in History
The Nebraska History Museum and Lead Up invite you to join us on Thursday, August 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate NASA’s new James Webb Space Telescope and the historic release of its First Images.
We’ll be #unfoldingtheuniverse with activities for all ages, including hands-on STEM and Art projects and a Stories of the Stars read-aloud for children. Community experts will be on hand to tell you more about the amazing James Webb Telescope, fun ways to connect with NASA and its programs, and all about careers exploring the skies above. You’ll even learn how a telescope works! Guests of all ages can browse a space-themed book-tasting and search the museum for some most famous stars in the Universe tucked in and around the current exhibits, which will also be available for guests to enjoy.
Lead Up empowers young people to develop their talents and discover their purpose. We deliver experiences, resources and a dynamic network through which they can explore their interests, connect school to career, build critical skills, and prepare to make their own unique marks on the world.
