Then and Now: Travel and Transportation

Sunday, February 18, 2018 - 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Chimney Rock National Historic Site

Geography has always guided the movements and histories of people. The location of rivers, passes, valleys, and mountains encouraged or discouraged travel. Resources made people decide where to move and stay. Emily Houck, Nebraska Panhandle Conservation Director, will show how the geography of Nebraska affected our nation's history.

Join us at the Ethel S. & Christopher J. Abbott Visitor Center for a free lecture as part of our Sunday Afternoon at the Rock 2018 series! The program begins at 1:30 pm and lasts an hour. Call ahead in case of inclement weather

Yearly memberships start at $32
