Virtual Homeschool Wednesday April 7th

Wednesday, April 7, 2021 - 10:30am to 11:15am

History Nebraska is back with Homeschool Wednesdays. In our new, virtual format we can take you across the state to visit all our historic sites in addition to the Nebraska History Museum. Tune in for a 40-minute Zoom session at 10:30 am on the first Wednesday of every month. We’ll have an interactive discussion and then a presentation with Q&A from a guest presenter. After the session, you’ll be able to do fun activities as a family that includes a scavenger hunt and a craft! Come along as we explore this semester’s theme of Home and what it means at each of our sites. Registration is free, but we welcome any donation you are able to make.

This month, let’s take a trip to Chimney Rock in western Nebraska where we’ll look at two different perspectives of home. What did home mean to the immigrants traveling along the Oregon Trail and what did it mean to the Lakota who had their land disrupted by these travelers?

To register, fill out the form below. You will be sent the Zoom link before the event. Future dates: May 5.
