Virtual Homeschool Wednesday May 5th

Wednesday, May 5, 2021 - 10:30am to 11:15am

History Nebraska is back with Homeschool Wednesdays. In our new, virtual format we can take you across the state to visit all our historic sites in addition to the Nebraska History Museum. Tune in for a 40-minute Zoom session at 10:30 am on the first Wednesday of every month. We’ll have an interactive discussion and then a presentation with Q&A from a guest presenter. After the session, you’ll be able to do fun activities as a family that includes a scavenger hunt and a craft! Come along as we explore this semester’s theme of Home and what it means at each of our sites. Registration is free, but we welcome any donation you are able to make.

In our final session this semester we’ll travel to the George Norris House in southern Nebraska. George Norris was a famous US Senator, but after his life in public service he helped the servicemen at a nearby airbase feel at home while they were so far away from their own.
