Field Trip Across Lincoln

Several Lincoln-area sites have joined forces to encourage families to get out and explore art, nature, and history by visiting local museums and outdoor spaces. Throughout March and April, participants can visit locations and complete activities provided in the official passport. In exchange for completing a task, participants will earn a stamp from the location. Collect stamps from at least five of the eight sites for a chance to win prizes. Prizes include art classes, family museum memberships, a wren house, posters, puzzles, bison artwork, and more.

STEPS TO PARTICIPATE

  1. Go to each participating site during the months of March and April.

  2. Complete the activity for each site listed in the official passport.

  3. Take a selfie to check in at each site and post to social media with the tag #FieldTripLNK for extra entries into the prize drawing.

  4. After completing the activity, make sure to get your passport stamped.

  5. When you have visited at least 5 sites, email a scan or photo of your passport and our name to FieldTripLNK@gmail.com to be entered into the grand prize drawing.

About History Nebraska
History Nebraska was founded in 1878 as the Nebraska State Historical Society by citizens who recognized Nebraska was going through great changes and they sought to record the stories of both indigenous and immigrant peoples. It was designated a state institution and began receiving funds from the legislature in 1883. Legislation in 1994 changed History Nebraska from a state institution to a state agency. The division is headed by Interim Director and CEO Jill Dolberg. They are assisted by an administrative staff responsible for financial and personnel functions, museum store services, security, and facilities maintenance for History Nebraska.
