RG4040.AM: Faith United Church of Christ (Lincoln, Neb.)
Lincoln, Lancaster County, Neb.
Size: 6 items on 1 reel of microfilm
Faith United Church of Christ was organized by the merger of the German Evangelical Congregational Salem Church and the Evangelical St. John's Church. The older congregations, formed in 1901 and 1917 respectively, had been founded by newly arrived Germans from Russia in the "North Bottoms" area of Lincoln. Declining memberships resulted in a merger vote on December 12, 1966, and the official incorporation the following February. Faith Church is located in the building formerly occupied by the Salem Church.
