SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The manuscript portion of the collection consists of several items relating to Richard “Dick” Joyce’s service in World War II as part of “Doolittle’s Raiders.” The collection contains three items, including a letter to Joyce from the Office of the Generalissimo of China, dated May 4, 1942. The other items included in the collection are a travel itinerary from April 19-May 5, 1942, and a newspaper clipping about Joyce from the Nebraska State Journal dating from May 20, 1942.
