FAQ
How do I register for a program?
Please go to the program page (field trips, scouts, homeschool, etc.). Find the program you wish to register for and select the “click to register” icon.
Do you have any programs for adults?
Most of our virtual programs can be adapted for adult audiences. We also offer lecture and programs for adults, which you can find on our Calendar of Events.
Is there a group minimum/maximum?
Groups must have a minimum of ten participants. The maximum number of participants varies by program. Please check your program description.
What if I need to cancel a program?
If you can no longer visit the museum, please contact us as soon as possible by the Nebraska State Historical Society Education staff at hn.museumeducation@nebraska.gov. Our educators can work with you to reschedule. If you need to cancel the day of your workshop, please call the museum front desk at 402-471-4782.
Where can I eat in the museum?
- To protect the artifacts on display, the Nebraska History Museum does not allow food or beverages in exhibit spaces. All visitors will be required to dispose of food or beverages upon arrival or leave these items with our Visitor Services team during their visit.
- The Nebraska History Museum does not have a lunch space available for tour groups. Groups may eat lunch outside on Centennial Mall.
Where can we park?
Limited parking is available in front of the museum for buses and school transportation vehicles. Metered parking and parking garages are available around downtown Lincoln. Information about parking options in downtown Lincoln can be found here.
