Homeschool Days

A geometric logo features an interlocking dark teal "L" and orange "N" on a light gray background with a faint mountain outline.

Each month, the Education Team welcomes homeschool students and parents to the Nebraska History Museum for a unique educational experience tailored just for them. Each month features a different topic on Nebraska history and allows students to learn outside the ‘classroom’. You can register for each month’s activity below and view a description of the program for that month. If you have any questions, please email us at HN.MuseumEducation@nebraska.gov, and one of our educators will be happy to assist.

Homeschool Days are made possible thanks to the support of the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation.

About NSHS

The Nebraska State Historical Society was founded in 1878 by citizens who recognized Nebraska was going through great changes and they sought to record the stories of both indigenous and immigrant peoples. It was designated a state institution and began receiving funds from the legislature in 1883. Legislation in 1994 changed NSHS from a state institution to a state agency. The division is headed by Director Daryl Bohac. They are assisted by an administrative staff responsible for financial and personnel functions, museum store services, security, and facilities maintenance for NSHS.
