SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection contains biographical and genealogical information relating to Ami Whitney Ketchum. Ketchum was a settler in Custer County. He was killed by the Print Olive gang. The collection includes a Ketchum family tree; genealogical information copied from a family bible; a warranty deed (dated December 30, 1878) for a cemetery plot in Kearney, Nebraska, for Ami Ketchum’s burial; a letter dated January 5, 1878, from Ami Ketchum to his mother, Asenath Ketchum; a poem dated January of 1879, written by Loren Ketchum in memory of his brother Ami; and a genealogical sketch of the Ketchum family.
