BACKGROUND NOTE
Born at Scotch Grove, Iowa, on April 5, 1861, Andrew G. Wilson was the son of James and Ellen (Gordon) Wilson. He married Elizabeth McKean at Delaware, Iowa, in 1890. Sometime between 1900 and 1910, the couple moved to Hebron, Nebraska, where Andrew worked as an abstracter. Andrew G. Wilson died on April 19, 1922. He is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hebron, Nebraska.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of seven letters written by Andrew G. Wilson of Hebron to his cousin Martha. The letters date from January 1, 1916 to December 13, 1920. Subjects include World War I, the flu epidemic, weather, crops, daylight savings time, and the Wilson family genealogy.
