BACKGROUND NOTE
Born in Iowa in 1852, Aaron Stewart lived in Kansas for a time before moving to Nebraska. He married Annabelle Richards around 1879 and by 1895, they were living at Belmont, Nebraska. Stewart was a farmer and raised livestock. By 1910, the couple had moved to Sioux County, Nebraska. It is unclear what became of Stewart after 1920.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of one item a typescript letter written by Aaron Stewart. Dated September 30, 1895, the letter was sent to the editor of the Chadron Signal newspaper. In the letter, Stewart discusses his feelings towards the Populist state legislature.
