The collection consists of a diary [typescript only] kept by Alexander L. Frizzell while he was traveling from Iowa to Colorado where he was going to prospect for gold. The diary entries are brief and primarily tell how far he went each day and where he stopped. The diary entries begin on February 16, 1860 and end on June 21, 1860.
