BACKGROUND NOTE
It is unclear when the Auburn Ministerial Association was organized, but based on the minutes in this collection, it was active by 1918. The association’s members are Protestant ministers joined together in spiritual alliance to promote Christianity in Auburn through programming and service activities. Apparently the organization eventually became the Nemaha County Ministerial Association, which still exists.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of the minutes of the Auburn Ministerial Association, 1918-1952. Loose minutes, mostly in typescript form, cover 1918-1952. A spiral notebook contains handwritten minutes covering 1937-1941. The notebook also has some pages listing roll call attendance and dues collected. The minutes document attendance, officers, committee appointments, financial status, and association activities.
