Charles Mathewson was an agent for the Winnebagos; a founder of Norfolk, Nebraska; and the builder of the Norfolk Mills. This collection relates to Mathewson’s life and the Norfolk Mills.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of a letter dated March 1, 1870, from Charles Mathewson of Norfolk, Nebraska, to his brother in Connecticut describing the building and production of the Norfolk Mills. Biographical notes by Mathewson’s grandson are also included.
