BACKGROUND NOTE
Born in Iowa in 1876, Charles Reynolds came to Nebraska with his family sometime between 1885 and 1900. By 1900, the family was living in Wayne, Nebraska. Charles married Ida Linsom at Heartwell, Nebraska, on July 19, 1905. Reynolds served as the County Clerk for many years and was active in the Democratic Party. Charles W. Reynolds died on April 6, 1930. He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery at Wayne, Nebraska.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of one folder containing correspondence written to Reynolds as the Chairman of the Wayne County Democratic Central Committee. The letters date between August and October of 1912. Correspondents include Dan Voorhees Stephens, Ashton C. Shallenberger and John H. Morehead.
