Edwin M. Russell, a resident of Michigan, visited Kansas and Nebraska in 1898. Among his stops were Burlingame, Topeka, and Manhattan, Kansas; and Milford and Lincoln, Nebraska.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of one letter dating from 1898, written by Edwin M. Russell from Milford, Nebraska to his cousins in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In it, Russell writes about the agricultural development of Kansas and Nebraska, including the availability of timber and the production of fruit. Russell also gives his opinions on the Spanish-American War.
