SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of one folder containing correspondence from Elmer C. Pyeatte to members of the J.M. Haney family, Fremont, Nebraska. Pyeatte served with Company C, 49th Engineers during World War I. Between December 30, 1917 and July 5, 1918, Pyeatte writes from various U.S. locations, including Needles, California, Fort McDowell (California), and Fort Myer (Virginia). The remainder of the letters are written from Orleans, France. The letters describe military life, activities, weather conditions, etc. The last letter is dated November 28, 1918.
