SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection contains a diary written by Frederick E. Kraft of Elmwood, Nebraska, while he was in Company B, 3rd Nebraska Infantry, from December 12, 1898 to May 11, 1899. He was stationed in Cuba as part of the hospital corps. Kraft mainly writes about camp life. He also describes visits to Quemados and Havana, Cuba. Also included in the collection are an enlistment paper and a list of places visited by Kraft while he was in the Army.
