SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection relates to the life and career of Mayor James C. Dahlman of Omaha and is arranged in two series. Series 1 consists of approximately nineteen volumes of scrapbooks kept by Dahlman’s secretary during his administration in Omaha from 1906-1930 (filmed). Series 2 contains miscellaneous materials (unfilmed). In particular, the materials reflect the attitudes of the Omaha newspapers toward the Dahlman administration.
The scrapbooks were filmed through the courtesy of the Omaha Public Library.
Note: The photo component [RG2990.PH] consists of photographic prints and negatives, ca. 1915-1929. The photographs relate primarily to Dahlman’s political career and include formal portraits of Dahlman and photographs of Dahlman with others.
