SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The manuscript portion of this collection consists of a copy of the Soldier’s Hand Book U.S.A. Revised issued to Joseph Moshenross on his enlistment in Company C, 2nd Infantry at Fort Omaha, Nebraska on September 13, 1894. The Hand Book contains handwritten accounts of “Money Allowance For Clothing,” and two short poems. An Alien Registration Card, with photograph and thumb print, is also present. It was issued to Moshenross on February 19, 1918.
The photograph portion of this collection [RG5079.PH] contains a studio wedding photograph of Joseph Moschenross and Louisa Rhodehorst. They were married on May 25, 1899. The photograph is housed with the manuscript materials.
