BACKGROUND NOTE
Born in Sheridan County, Nebraska, Louis Amie Wuthier grew up on the family homestead. He attended the Boiling Springs School and then two years of high school at Rushville, Nebraska. He married Lucile Strum in 1928. The couple lived on a ranch south of Rushville, where Wuthier raised Hereford breeding cattle. In 1947, the couple moved to a ranch north of Buffalo, Wyoming. Louis retired from ranching in 1996 and he and Lucile moved into Buffalo, Wyoming. Lucile Wuthier died in 2003. Louis Amie Wuthier died on July 14, 2008.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of one folder containing various writings by Louis Amie Wuthier. Included are a biography of his father, Paul Emile Wuthier. The biography is titled, “The Man Who Played the Accordion.” Also included are materials he wrote about “The Spectacle Brand.”
