BACKGROUND NOTE
Mr. Horne was executive secretary of the Lincoln Community Chest for thirty-three years, from its inception in 1923 to his retirement in 1956.

This collection consists of five volumes, which are separated into two series: (1) Annual reports, 1927-1953; and (2) Publications, 1940-1953. The material in this collection relates to the Lincoln Council of Social Agencies, and the Lincoln Community Chest.
