BACKGROUND NOTE
Myrtle Taake, daughter of Otto and Anna Victoria Taake, was born on February 6, 1907. She attended Newman Grove High School. After high school she married Frank Soulier and the couple lived in Burnett, Antelope County. Myrtle died on July 22, 2003. She is buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Tilden, Nebraska, next to her husband, Frank.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of a scrapbook relating to the high school experience of Myrtle Taake at Newman Grove High School, 1923-1924. The volume contains clippings, programs, souvenir booklets and ephemera, postcards, invitations and printed cards. Also included are three black and white studio portraits, seven black and white environmental portraits, and twenty-three black and white snapshots of sports teams, friends, and activities.
