BACKGROUND NOTE
The Nebraska Jaycee Women, originally called the “Mrs. Jaycees of Nebraska,” was founded (1) to aid the Nebraska Jaycees in advancing its program of usefulness to the state and nation whenever requested to do so by that organization; (2) to sponsor projects for the benefit of its membership, their communities and state as a whole. Membership was originally only open to wives of Nebraska Jaycees.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of records of the Nebraska Jaycee Women, including by-laws, minutes of meetings, correspondence, committee files, financial information, membership materials, publicity and information from local chapters. The materials date from 1956-1984.
