BACKGROUND NOTE
Born on January 23, 1919, at Lyons, Nebraska, Olive Lindgren grew up in Logan, Nebraska. She trained as a marine at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Olive married David Jaimet in 1947. He died in 1948. She then married James Ricey in 1952. Olive (Lindgren) Ricey died at Mission Viejo, California, on April 30, 2012.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of one folder containing correspondence, discharge papers, a certificate of military insurance, and a certificate of graduation from aviation machinist mate school. The items date from 1944-1946 and relate to Olive (Lindgren) Ricey’s experiences training as a marine at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
