HISTORICAL NOTE



The Falls City Presbyterian Church was organized in 1866.



SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE



This collection consists of one reel of microfilm containing seven volumes of records, including church register, 1871-1964; session minutes, 1871-1964; minutes of the annual congregational meeting, 1901-1927; and minutes of the board of trustees, 1937-1962. These records relate to the activity of the Presbyterian Church (Falls City, Neb.) from 1871 to 1964. These volumes were loaned to NSHS for microfilming in February of 1964.

About History Nebraska
History Nebraska was founded in 1878 as the Nebraska State Historical Society by citizens who recognized Nebraska was going through great changes and they sought to record the stories of both indigenous and immigrant peoples. It was designated a state institution and began receiving funds from the legislature in 1883. Legislation in 1994 changed History Nebraska from a state institution to a state agency. The division is headed by Interim Director and CEO Jill Dolberg. They are assisted by an administrative staff responsible for financial and personnel functions, museum store services, security, and facilities maintenance for History Nebraska.
