BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Born in 1924, Richard G. Brady served as Quarter Master First Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served on the U.S.S. Converse in the South Pacific. Brady married Marjorie Remington on September 1, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska. For twenty-five years, Richard Brady was owner/operator of Brady Heating & Air Conditioning. Richard Brady died on September 14, 2008. He was survived by his wife and six children and their families.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of correspondence written by Richard Brady to his girlfriend (and later wife), Marjorie Remington. The letters date from 1943-1945 and document Brady’s life in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
