SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of one folder containing letters by Alvin T. and Frank Young to family while serving in France with the A.E.F. during World War I. Alvin served in Co. D, 352nd Infantry; Frank was with Co. L, 353rd Infantry and Co. B, 7th Infantry. Frank died from injuries received in battle on August 14, 1918.
Information on the war is limited. Alvin mentions his role in guarding ration trains after the Armistice, and Frank described his training at Camp Funston and Merritt. Clippings on the death of Frank Young are included.
