Event includes a special members-only tour of the Ford Center.

Members of History Nebraska are invited to join us for our 2023 Annual Members Meeting on October 12th!

This year, the meeting will be held at the Gerald Ford Conservation Center in Omaha, NE.

You’ll have the chance to meet the dedicated staff members from the Ford Center and learn more about their incredible work. They’ll even take you on a tour of their impressive conservation labs.

This is a rare chance to get up close and personal with the amazing work at the Ford Center, and we don’t want you to miss it!

About NSHS

The Nebraska State Historical Society was founded in 1878 by citizens who recognized Nebraska was going through great changes and they sought to record the stories of both indigenous and immigrant peoples. It was designated a state institution and began receiving funds from the legislature in 1883. Legislation in 1994 changed NSHS from a state institution to a state agency. The division is headed by Interim Director Cindy Drake. They are assisted by an administrative staff responsible for financial and personnel functions, museum store services, security, and facilities maintenance for NSHS.
