Don't miss your chance to go behind the scenes of this legendary Nebraska landmark!

In celebration of National Historic Preservation Month, on Saturday, May 30th at 11:00 AM, join us at the Fort Robinson History Center as Kelli Bacon from the State Historic Preservation Office shares fascinating findings from past archeological and historical investigations at the Fort and highlights ongoing efforts to share the rich history of Fort Robinson and the surrounding area. Event admission is free.

*A Nebraska Game and Parks park permit is required to enter the Fort Robinson State Park area. Click here to purchase a daily or annual park permit.

About NSHS

The Nebraska State Historical Society was founded in 1878 by citizens who recognized Nebraska was going through great changes and they sought to record the stories of both indigenous and immigrant peoples. It was designated a state institution and began receiving funds from the legislature in 1883. Legislation in 1994 changed NSHS from a state institution to a state agency. The division is headed by Director Daryl Bohac. They are assisted by an administrative staff responsible for financial and personnel functions, museum store services, security, and facilities maintenance for NSHS.
