2021 History Nebraska Annual Meeting

Members of History Nebraska are invited to the 2021 Annual Meeting being held at the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel in Omaha, NE. The event will include the introduction of new Board of Trustees, a recap of History Nebraska's accomplishments for the past fiscal year, an introduction to the History Nebraska Foundation, and a special presentation from Nebraska History Moments author, and History Nebraska editor, David Bristow. A special tour of the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel will also take place following the meeting. A full schedule of activities is listed below. 5:30 p.m. – Guests arrive and pick up name tag; iced tea and snacks are available
6:00 p.m. – Annual Meeting opens to acknowledge leaving board members and formalize new members
6:15 p.m. – Public Program opens with Chris Goforth as emcee to welcome guests; introduces Trevor Jones, CEO & Director of History Nebraska to speak (5 minutes); introduces Bryan Zimmer, President of History Nebraska Foundation
6:20 p.m. – Bryan Zimmer speaks for a few minutes regarding History Nebraska Foundation and support, and then introduces Tyler Vacha, Executive Director of History Nebraska Foundation
6:25 p.m. – Chris Goforth introduces David Bristow, Writer/Editor at History Nebraska, and mentions he will sign books after the speech; David speaks for 20 minutes and answers questions for 10 minutes
7:00 p.m. – Chris Goforth thanks everyone for coming and invites guests to purchase books
