Celebrate Nebraskans efforts to preserve the history of our great state! Join the Nebraska State Historical Society as we honor those that have gone above and beyond to support our mission. This year, we focus our attention on Omaha and the historical significance the city has played, including a special recognition of former Omaha city planning director Marty Shukert.
The evening will include a cocktail buffet, award presentations, desserts, and a special presentation from Marty Shukert.
Attendants will also be allowed to view the galleries at KANEKO, including art created by Jun Kaneko. A member of the KANEKO staff will be on hand to answer questions and share the history behind the building. Nebraska State Historical Society Associate Directors will also be available to talk about their respective areas and their importance to Nebraska.
