In the early 1920s Charles Lindbergh, one of America’s most celebrated pilots, learned to fly at the Lincoln Flying School, operated by Ray Page of the Lincoln Standard Aircraft Company.

This photo of a downed aircraft was taken in March of 1922 at Page Field in Lincoln. This field, which was located near the current site of the Lincoln Country Club, was used for flying from about 1921 until 1932, when the Lincoln Municipal Airport was built.
