BACKGROUND NOTE

The Lincoln Story Tellers' League was organized on November 17, 1910. The object of the League was "to study the value of various kinds of stories for children and the art of telling them." The group met once a month during the months of October-May.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection consists of 14 items of manuscript material dating from 1913-1921. This material relates to the activities of the Lincoln Story Tellers' League. Included are constitutions of the local and national leagues; minutes, 1914-1921; year books, 1913-1919, providing membership lists; and correspondence, 1915-1921.
