Today’s Throwback Thursday photograph features a group camping in style. The family is enjoying their lunch around a wooden table covered with an oil cloth. The two young men are seated in folding camping stools while rocking chairs were reserved for the old man and woman at the heads of the table. Several canvas tents are visible in the background. The campers are likely gathered for an event like a Chautauqua. This image was captured by Emmanuel Wolfe of Neligh in about 1915. People would often travel for Chautauquas, so it is unknown where exactly in Nebraska this photo was taken.
