What do you think these boys are laughing about?
Today’s Throwback Thursday photograph features three young boys caught in a moment of laughter. Frederick Blaine Humphrey took this photograph while he was a student at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln during the late 1890s. During this time period, photography was moving out of the professional studios and into the hands of talented amateurs like Humphrey. Spontaneous snapshots like this image became all the rage. Unfortunately, Humphrey captured this adorable moment on film but failed to record the names of the three boys.
What do you think the boys are laughing at? Could it be the tallest boy’s mismatched shoes?
